A Unique Spiritual Place

I have heard of a unique spiritual place in Colorado for a long time now, but could never find the name. Someone recently passed this article to me... thought I'd share:

Life & Death - A Cyclical Rhythm

I have been doing much thinking over the last couple of years about death and dying and life and death.  I once heard that if you cannot accept death you cannot life.  They are cycles of our existence and that they are both so very natural and planned.  In a period of just a few years I have lost so many beings that are dear to me.  I have grown so much and reflect on their purpose in my life regularly.  I know that their death, just as their life were planned moments in time.  I lost my dog Tia Maria and became a Shaman Healer.  I lost my dog Mai Tai a year later and learned about plant medicine and reading the signs of nature.  Then, 6 months later I lost my dog Sangria who taught me all about God and an unspoken divine consciousness.  Just about 6 more months after that I lost my grandmother on my dad's side.  Then a few months after that I lost my "uncle" (aunt's boyfriend).  When my grandmother died I saw this darkness lift and the energy changed.  I felt it all day and from the exact moment of her death.  When my 'uncle' died the angels were there to let me know of his passing before anyone called to tell me.

All of this death has led me to question life.  We really have such a short time here and we have people or animals that come into our life that have a divine purpose there.  My friend Jill just lost her kitty after living with her for 15 years and this put me into a very reflective place.  I think I probably cried as much as she did for her loss.  But, even though I have learned that with death comes life and light and beauty we are still OK to feel sorrow and sad.  And, when we take this time to be reflective we can grow tremendously.  We can take it as an opportunity to learn and reflect and just "BE".  It gives us a kind of "time out" and an excuse to reflect.  People around us accept our time of reflection and allow us to BE.  And when we can just be with the moment we can find so much peace within it.

With all the death I have experienced recently I can say that I have learned more about each being that has passed now that they have passed than when they were alive.  I know that they also carried "dark" pieces of me over to the other side.  They took with them heavy weight that I no longer needed to carry and they did this graciously, as if it were their role in their passing.  Each time one passed I felt lighter.  I think this is part of the rhythm of life and death.  It's pretty exciting really.  When I look back a t pictures of those that have passed I can even see the extra weight they were carrying.  It's like they packed it on just so they could take it over for the rest of us.  So, I think that when they go they take (unselfishly) whatever we no longer need (sometimes).  I also learned that by looking at your astrology chart you can see that it is scripted there who is going to come into your life and when they are going to leave.  It's all there and it's all planned and it's all divine and it's all BEAUTIFUL!  Just allow yourself to be with it in all it's beauty! ;-)
